സാധാരണ സിനിമ റീവ്യൂ ചെയ്യുമ്പോള് കഥയും പശ്ചാത്തലവും രണ്ടുമൂന്നു വാചകങ്ങളില് പറഞ്ഞാണ് തുടങ്ങാറ്. “എന്തും കാട്ടാം” എന്ന മട്ടില് ചിത്രീകരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നത് കൊണ്ട് ഇവിടെ അതു സാധിക്കില്ല. സുരേഷ് ഗോപി വീണ്ടുമൊരു പൊലീസുകാരനാവുന്നു ഇതില്. കുറേ സ്ഥിരം കഥാപാത്രങ്ങളും. Empty vessels make most noise. ഈ ശബ്ദകോലാഹലം ഉണ്ടാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നത് ഷാജി കൈലാസ്.
ഒരു സാദാ കമ്പ്യൂട്ടറില്, ക്രിമിനലുകളുടെ വിവരങ്ങള് കാട്ടുന്നുണ്ട്. വെറുതെ ഒരാളുടെ slide-ല് നിന്ന് അടുത്തയാളുടേതിലേക്ക് പോകാന് എന്തെല്ലാം ചെയ്യണമെന്നോ? ആദ്യം Delete key അമര്ത്തണം. പിന്നെ മറ്റു മൂന്നു കീകള്. ഒടുവില് Enter-ഉം!!! സംവിധാകന് ഇത്രയേ വിവരമുളളൂ. അങ്ങിനെയുളള ഒരാളില് നിന്ന് എന്ത് പ്രതീക്ഷിക്കാനാണ്?! പതിവ് ഇംഗ്ലീഷ് കോമാളിത്തരവുമുണ്ട്, വേണ്ടുവോളം.
സംവിധായകന്റെ ഹിന്ദുത്ത്വ ചായ്വ് അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ എല്ലാ സൃഷ്ടികളിലുമെന്ന പോലെ ഇതിലും പ്രകടമാണ്. ഭാഗ്യവശാല് സ്ത്രീകളെ മോശമായി ചിത്രീകരിച്ചിട്ടില്ല. ഹിന്ദുത്ത്വ ചായ്വ് മോശമായതുകൊണ്ടല്ല ഇവിടെ എടുത്തു പറഞ്ഞത്. ഇന്ത്യാക്കാരന് സ്വന്തം പൈതൃകത്തില് അഭിമാനിക്കുന്നത് ഒരു കുറച്ചിലോ പാതകമോ ആണെന്ന നിലക്ക് നമ്മുടെ ചിന്തകള് വികലമായിരിക്കുന്ന ഇക്കാലത്ത് സംവിധാകനതു ചെയ്യുന്നു എന്നുളളതു കൊണ്ടാണ്. ഇതിങ്ങനെ എടുത്തു പറയേണ്ടി വരുന്നത് എത്ര പരിതാപകരം! അതുപോലെ തന്നെ സ്ത്രീകളെ മോശമാക്കുന്നില്ല എന്നത് ആശ്വാസ്യകരമാവുന്നതും!
എന്റെ അമ്മൂമ്മ പറഞ്ഞ് കേട്ടിട്ടുളള ഒരു ചൊല്ലുണ്ട്. “കുരങ്ങന് ഏണി വെച്ചു കൊടുക്കുക” എന്ന്. സുരേഷ് ഗോപി അവതരിപ്പിക്കുന്ന കഥാപാത്രത്തിന് അല്പം വട്ടുണ്ട്.
ഇന്ദ്രിയങ്ങള്ക്കു മേലെയുളള ഈ കടന്നാക്രമണത്തെ സിനിമ എന്നു വിളിക്കാനാവില്ല. പക്ഷെ കാനില് കാണിക്കേണ്ട ഒന്നാണിത്. സിനിമ ആസ്വാദനത്തിന് മാത്രമുളള ഒന്നല്ല -
ക്ഷമ പരീക്ഷിക്കുക, ചെവിക്കല്ലിന്റെ ബലമളക്കുക, ആളുകളുടെ സമനില തെറ്റിക്കുക തുടങ്ങിയ പല ഉപയോഗങ്ങളും അതിനുണ്ട് എന്ന് ഇവിടെയുളള ചലച്ചിത പ്രവര്ത്തകര് കണ്ടുപിടിച്ചു എന്ന് ലോകമറിയട്ടെ!

99% ആളുകളും ആവറേജിന് താഴെ, സംവിധായകനും കൂട്ടരും മാത്രം അവര്ക്കു മുകളില് എന്ന രീതിയിലല്ലേ ഓരോ സിനിമകളും എടുക്കുന്നത്!

I saw some clips of the movie in one channel.
The song with Vimala (I misunderstood first that this song is from Lanka) is vulgar and above all the romantic face of Suresh Gopi made me feel like vomiting.
I badly feel that Suresh Gopi need to look for some other job (If he does anything good)

I couldn’t get a chance to see this movie. But I have see may promotional programs in many channels. Apart from that my friends has breifly explained the story line to me. I think, he has made only a visual impact with this…. and its a big blow for both Shaji and Suresh… I am completely agreeing to Man…..
Everyone knows Shaji Kailas, who came up with some very good movies earlier in his career. He has amazed the Mallu crowd with camera technique… But along with that he was concentrating much on the story line as well. If we just take his last 3 movies, DON, Baba Kalyani and Time, he has done a pretty good job with the camera, but the story line was not that much supportive. They have just created a visual impact thats all…. Nothing else… I think he is gonna continue the same, because his next film is ALIBHAI with Mohan Lal und AHIRWADH Release…..
Like to know more about the camera technique… he used?? What so special in Shaji’s shot? Any new techique or any new style??

In the song from the movie you can even see Suresh Gopi’s hand in close-up.
I felt like most of the romantic songs in malayalam movies have the same kind of shots from Manirathnam movies. Either it fly or it comes touching a wall or fence.
I remember a comment from Adoor “The person who is watching the movie should see the film, not the technique director is using, a Crain or trolley or what ever it is. These techniques are there to visualize the things in mind of the director”
