സൈക്കിള്
നല്ലവരും പാവങ്ങളുമായ രണ്ട് കൂട്ടുകാര്, ഒരു പ്രത്യേക സാഹചര്യത്തില് വലിയൊരു തുക മോഷ്ടിക്കുന്നു. ഈ സംഭവത്തിനെ ചുറ്റിപ്പറ്റിയുളളതാണ് ജെയിംസ് ആല്ബര്ട്ട് എഴുതി, ജോണി ആന്റണി സംവിധാനം ചെയ്ത, മലര് പോലെയുളള ഈ സിനിമ.
ഒരുപക്ഷെ മലയാളികള് ഏറ്റവും കൂടുതല് ഇഷ്ടപ്പെടുന്ന സിനിമാക്കാരന് ശ്രീനിവാസന് ആയിരിക്കും. ആ ഇഷ്ടം കൊണ്ടായിരിക്കണം, വിനീത് എങ്ങിനെയുണ്ട് എന്നറിയാന് അവര് ഇത്രക്ക് ആകാംക്ഷ കാട്ടുന്നത്. ആ സംശയം ആദ്യമേ തീര്ത്തേക്കാം, വിനീത് തനി ശ്രീനിവാസന് തന്നെ. അതേ നോട്ടം, അതേ ഭാവങ്ങള്, അതേ ചലനങ്ങള് - എല്ലാം അത് തന്നെ. അഭിനയവും മോശമല്ല.
ഇനി സിനിമയെപ്പറ്റി. നല്ലൊരു ഭാഗം ഇഴച്ചിലാണ്. രചന വളരെ contrived ആണ്. ഏതാണ്ടെല്ലാ സീനുകളും സംഭാഷണങ്ങളും എന്തിന്റെയെങ്കിലും വിശദീകരണമോ, വരാന് പോകുന്ന എന്തിന്റെയെങ്കിലും സൂചനയോ ആണ്. തിരക്കഥയിലെ ‘പഴുതുകള്’ അടക്കുവാനാണിത് ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നത്. എന്നാലോ, ആനമണ്ടത്തരങ്ങള്ക്ക് ഒരു പഞ്ഞവുമില്ല താനും. സ്വച്ഛന്ദമായ എഴുത്തല്ലാതെ, ആകെ ഞെക്കിപ്പഴുപ്പിച്ച ഒരു തിരക്കഥയാണ് ‘സൈക്കിളി’ന്റേത്. നായകരിലൊരാള് ജോലി ചെയ്യുന്ന സ്വകാര്യ പണമിടപാട് സ്ഥാപനത്തില് നിന്ന് രണ്ട് കോടിയോളം രൂപ മോഷണം പോയിട്ട്, അവിടെ ജോലി ചെയ്യുന്ന ഒരാളെ പോലും ആരും ചോദ്യം ചെയ്യുന്നില്ല. താക്കോലിന്റെ duplicate എടുക്കുന്ന കട പുതുവര്ഷത്തലേന്ന് രാത്രി പത്ത് മണിക്കും തുറന്നിരിക്കുന്നു. സമയം നോക്കാന് ചൊവ്വയിലെ ഘടികാരമാണ് കഥാപാത്രങ്ങള് ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നതെന്ന് തോന്നുന്നു - നമുക്ക് സിനിമയിലെ സമയത്തെക്കുറിച്ച് യാതൊരു idea-യും കിട്ടില്ല. കഥാപാത്രങ്ങളെല്ലാം തന്നെ ക്ലീഷേകള്. സംഭാഷണങ്ങള് ക്ലീ-ക്ലീഷേകള്! എവിടെ എന്ത് പറയണമെന്നറിയില്ല എന്നുളളത് വേറെ.
തമാശകള് അവിടവിടെ ഉണ്ടെങ്കിലും പൊട്ടിച്ചിരിപ്പിക്കുന്നവ രണ്ടോ മൂന്നോ മാത്രം. സിനിമ engaging-കൂടി ആകാത്തപ്പോള് ഫലമെന്തായിരിക്കും എന്ന് ഊഹിക്കാമല്ലോ.
ഛായാഗ്രാഹകന് ഫ്രെയ്മിങ്ങിന്റെ ബാലപാഠങ്ങള് മറിച്ച് നോക്കുന്നത് നന്നായിരിക്കും.
‘സൈക്കിള്’ എന്ന് പേരിട്ടിക്കുന്നതിന് ഒറ്റക്കാരണമേ ഞാനാലോചിച്ചിട്ട് കാണുന്നുളളൂ – ചന്ദനത്തിരി കമ്പനിയുടെ advertisement.
യുക്തിയുളള സിനിമകളയാരിക്കണം മലയാളത്തില് എന്നുളള വാശി നാം ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചല്ലോ. എന്റെ ചങ്ങാതി ശ്രീനി പറയാറുണ്ട്, ഇപ്പൊ ഇറങ്ങുന്ന മലയാള സിനിമകള് രസിപ്പിച്ചില്ലെങ്കിലും ഉപദ്രവിക്കാതിരുന്നാല് മതിയായിരുന്നു എന്ന്. ഈ സിനിമ രസിപ്പിക്കുന്നില്ല, എന്നാല് ഉപദ്രവിക്കുന്നുമില്ല. അതായത്, മലര് തിന്നുന്നത് പോലെ.

ഈയിടെയായി കണ്ടുവരുന്ന ഒന്നാണ് – സിനിമ തുടങ്ങുതിന് മുമ്പ് “Thank God” എന്ന് എഴുതിക്കാണിക്കുന്നത്. ( ആ പ്രയോഗം തന്നെ തെറ്റ്, അത് പോലും വിവരമുളളവരുടെ അടുത്ത് ചോദിച്ച് ചെയ്യാന് വയ്യ. ) സിനിമ വലിയ ഗുണമില്ലാത്തപ്പൊഴാണല്ലോ, ഇത്തരം വിഡ്ഢിത്തങ്ങള് കാട്ടുക. പക്ഷെ ‘സൈക്കിളു’കാര്ക്ക് ദൈവത്തിനെ വിളിച്ചിട്ടും അത്രക്കങ്ങ് വിശ്വാസം പോരാ. അപ്പൊപ്പിന്നെ എന്ത് ചെയ്യും? കുറച്ചുകൂടി കാശിറക്കി, കുറേ ‘കൂലിക്കാണികളെ’ വാടകക്കെടുക്കും. ആദ്യ കുറച്ച് നാളുകളില്, ടിക്കെറ്റെടുത്ത് കൊടുത്ത് കേരളത്തില് സിനിമ റിലീസ് ചെയ്ത എല്ലാ തിയറ്ററുകളിലും എല്ലാ ഷോകള്ക്കും ഇവരെ കയറ്റും. അത്രക്കൊന്നും ആവേശകരമല്ലാത്ത സീനുകളില് കയ്യടിയും, തമാശകളില്ലാത്ത ഇടങ്ങളില് പൊട്ടിച്ചിരികളും കേട്ടാല് നിങ്ങള് അന്ധാളിക്കണ്ട. അത് ഈ കൂലിക്കാണികളുടെ പണിയാണ്. ( ഷേണായ്സില് സിനിമ കണ്ട ഞാനും അത്ഭുതപ്പെട്ടു, പക്ഷേ കേരളത്തിലെ മറ്റു തിയറ്ററുകളില് നിന്ന് കണ്ടവര് ഇക്കാര്യം സൂചിപ്പിച്ചപ്പോഴാണ് ഗുട്ടന്സ് പിടികിട്ടിയത്. ആദ്യ ദിവസങ്ങളില് സിനിമ കണ്ടവരുണ്ടെങ്കില്, നായകര് സംഘട്ടത്തിനിടെ കടയുടെ ഷട്ടര് വലിച്ചിടുമ്പോഴും, മോട്ടോര്ബൈക്ക് wheelie ചെയ്ത് പൊലീസിന്റെ നെഞ്ചിലിടിച്ച് രക്ഷപ്പെടുമ്പോഴും മറ്റും കേട്ട കയ്യടി ഓര്ക്കുമല്ലോ. ) സിനിമയെടുത്തോ ആസ്വദിപ്പിക്കാന് പറ്റുന്നില്ല, ഇങ്ങനെയെങ്കിലും പ്രേക്ഷകര്ക്ക് തെറ്റിദ്ധാരണ ഉണ്ടാവട്ടെ എന്നാണ്. ഒരു ചിത്രം വിജയിപ്പിക്കാന്, കഴിവ് ഒഴിച്ച് ബാക്കിയെല്ലാം നമ്മുടെ സിനിമാക്കാരുടെ കയ്യിലുണ്ട്.

Did you really watch this movie? I didn’t feel the movie is dragging. Why the so called critics can not find anything good about our movies???The movie is not the best but I enjoyed better than most of the recent releases…. All my friends who watched the movie at Shenayees have the same opinion. Do not try to make one more movie flop…. (You guys succeded by downriding Calcutta news .It became a flop ).

ജോണി ആന്റണി ഒരുക്കിയ യുവതാര ചിത്രം സൈക്കിള് സൂപ്പര്ഹിറ്റാകുന്നു. ക്ലാസ്മേറ്റ്സ്, ചോക്ലേറ്റ് ശ്രേണിയിലേക്ക് മറ്റൊരു മഹാവിജയം കൂടി. വിനീത് ശ്രീനിവാസന്റെ അഭിനയരംഗത്തേക്കുള്ള ആദ്യ ചുവടുവയ്പും ജയിംസ് ആല്ബര്ട്ടിന്റെ രണ്ടാമത്തെ തിരക്കഥയും ഗംഭീരമായി. നാല്പ്പതിലധികം തിയേറ്ററുകളില് റിലീസ് ചെയ്ത സൈക്കിള് ഈ വര്ഷം ആദ്യം റിലീസ് നടത്തിയ സൂപ്പര് താരചിത്രങ്ങള്ക്ക് ഇപ്പൊഴേ ഭീഷണി ഉയര്ത്തിത്തുടങ്ങി.
വിനീത് ശ്രീനിവാസനും വിനു മോഹനും അഭിനയിക്കുന്ന ഈ ചിത്രം തമാശയില് പൊതിഞ്ഞ ഒരു സസ്പെന്സ് ത്രില്ലറാണ്. പണമൊഴുകുന്ന ഷോപ്പിംഗ് കോംപ്ലക്സില് ജോലിയെടുക്കുന്ന പണമില്ലാത്ത തൊഴിലാളികളെക്കുറിച്ചാണ് ഈ സിനിമ. അവരുടെ ജീവിതത്തില് വന്നെത്തുന്ന അപ്രതീക്ഷിത സംഭവങ്ങള്. ഭാമയും സന്ധ്യയുമാണ് നായികമാര്.
എണ്പതുകളുടെ അവസാനം മോഹന്ലാല് - ശ്രീനിവാസന് ടീം ഉണര്ത്തിയ ചിരിയും ചിന്തയുമാണ് വിനീത് - വിനു ടീം മുന്നോട്ടു വയ്ക്കുന്നതെന്നാണ് പൊതുവെ ഉയര്ന്നിട്ടുള്ള അഭിപ്രായം. നോട്ടുബുക്കിന് ശേഷം മേജോ ജോസഫ് ഒരുക്കിയ ഗാനങ്ങളും ഹിറ്റാണ്.

I think the reviewer failed miserably to analyze the movie. He found out so many mistakes and even made some comments about the crowd at Cochin… I saw the movie with family yesterday and the movie was housefull even for the second show. (Friday) .How long the producer and distributor can pay money to get people in to the theatre? Do not insult the viewers…We all paid for the ticket and honestly enjoyed more than watching so called super hit movies…..Vineeth looks like his dad and some of his actions resembles him also….What is wrong with that ? Whether he needs to act like College Kumaran or Naariman? Give him some credit ….

i think the director / script writer meant “life cycle” by giving this name as title. And they have explained the theme in the film as well.

I saw Cycle. Its a very good film. Vinneth did well. He has gud future. I am Great fan of his voice. I thoroghly enjoyed the film. This review worst ever review given by any reviewer to any film in the whole Malayalam film world. I this readers of this film needs to learn something Super star Suresh Gopi and say/show something to this reviewer. he just want to downride this film for super star film craps like Roudram, college kumeran.(Both r utter waste altogethor)
